Will I ever see that face again

The darkest light,
on the dimmest face,
showing signs of strain,
hiding years of neglect,
brought on by overbearing,
The candle flickers,
affording a glimpse of the edges,
around the face,
that has seldom seen care,
and as the whisper blows,
the dancing flame,
I cannot help but wonder,
will I ever see that face, again.
