‘The World of Momus’ – Podcast

So using Anchor’s amazing automated text to audio voice over services, I have created my podcast ‘The World of Momus’ and made it available on both Anchor and Spotify.

For now I am currently converting some of my random posts to audio and publishing them as podcasts. There will be several of these 1 or 2 minute short audio clips. And later on I will start making purpose filled episodes to feed into the podcast. Its only early days, so lets see how we get on with this, I hope you enjoy the journey. And please do feedback on how you find it to be and what more you might like from it.

Check here for Spotify and here for Anchor.

Just a thought

If you do not understand how someone can hold a different opinion than yours and be allowed to have that opinion without coercion or prejudice, regardless of how noble you might think your opinion about a particular topic might be – it means that irrespective of age, you still have not achieved a mental maturity expected of an adult. And therefore might not be suited to express opinions with any form of credible influence.

Rekindling an old love affair – (Animal Farm – Orwell)

Whenever people try to suggest the ideal word count of a story should be this or that, I always refer them to Animal Farm. A story/novel or whatever should only be as long as it is supposed to be. Maybe it be a thousand pages or a mere 120 pages, it is not a reflection of its quality.

It is one of the most favourite books to read, and recently I got it on audible narrated by Stephen Fry, oh how I wish he could narrate all the books worth reading. Animal Farm remains one of my favourite all time books and I hope one day I could write a book even half as good as this one.

Ignore the haters – daily thought

People who are filled with hatred will always create more and more reasons for you to hate each other as they project their own insecurities on to you.

The solutions these people propose will tend to be extreme because they don’t necessarily want to come to a resolution, they only want to push any opposition to the limits so that any retaliation would prove their point. This is dishonest and it benefits no one but their own machinations.

Stay away from these people, and do not engage with them. Let them spew their hatred. Ignore them and lead your life with love.

A day out in London …

We (my wife and I) went to Natural History Museum today, it’s always nice to visit, although hated wearing mask all the while. It ruined a bit of the fun but not completely.

I actually do prefer using public transport, but my word they really have to do something about ventilation in underground trains. That’s one thing I really don’t miss about London, having to travel in the tube during summer.

But all in all, I think South Kensington is a really nice part of London, most parts of London are nice I guess specially if you don’t live there and don’t get stabbed lol but it houses 3 great museums and is a bit of a cultural hub.

For anyone who hasn’t been to Natural History Museum before, the first thing to notice is the actual building it is housed in. It is a beautiful piece of architecture with so much attention to detail. Built around 1881, 140 years ago, it has striking features inside and out. Extensions to the building has been built thereafter and when we were there I could see another huge extension is underway.

There is so much to see and learn over here, in my opinion you need a full day to explore it in detail. I always imagine it would be a dream working at the museum specially this one.

There are also some great little trinkets to buy from the gift shop. I don’t usually do posts like these, or well I haven’t done them before. But I do love our British Museums and I hope everyone who visit them, donate a bit to keep them going.

But whatever you do, be aware to not get eaten up by the grizzly.
