Okay, so these were my 4 August indie reads, all really good and unique stories. I am starting to find that you end up encountering a lot of original ideas and stories within the indie and small press spectrum compared to the these days mainstream trad work.
But anyway, The Book of Bad Poetry, well I found this to be a very intimate read, if you read between the lines. Pagan Journeys is really unique in giving you a pagan perspective from the modern day practitioners of it. The Young Foreigner is a very strong debut with a raw poetic feel and Wonder Rush is a teen carnage mayhem. I liked all of them in their own way.
