Abortion is a tricky subject. Whereas I think ultimately it should fall down to the woman concerned & doctor incharge, perhaps the right and the reason can be separated and better defined in law.

Which is to say that where a woman might not have a right to abort as it has gone beyond a threshold a strong reason might supersede lack of that right, and where there is a right but an invalid reason would overturn the right.

Not an expert in abortion or law. But perhaps separation & better description of right/reason might be helpful. Although either side of the argument need to stop being so tribal and think more about the people concerned and how best to help them rather than win political points.
