Casual thought of the day

I am much more in favour of elective monarchy with a form of proportional parliamentary democracy – an elective constitutional monarchy I guess – over hereditary constitutional monarchy. I don’t think I like a presidential republic – the terms are not long enough to keep the social harmony and national identity intact over centuries upon centuries, like it has done in Britain for most part. It is too chaotic and disruptive in the end – especially when you end up having two or more very distinct versions of national identity living together and sort of enforcing their version on each other in totality and representing that outwards every 4 or so years.

Make me your King !
