There is a silent voice
Inside of me,
That refuses to shut up.

That silent voice says one thing
Over and over again,
Resist, resist, resist. 

Resist the powers of tyranny
That makes cruelty
Convenient.

Until I die, till my last breath,
I intend to listen always
To that silent voice within.
